Each
sculpture is a story, and is the fruit of a graphic research,
from which will rise a plaster model, then a bronze; live material,
that he particularly affectionnates for its contact, its "heat"
and its "cold", the "whole" and its opposite.
By torture/cherishes material, he seeks to find the unity before
the separation of the sexes (Androgyne)
of the bodies and the hearts (Heart
Eroticism ).
By the anamnèse of artistic creation, like the wise meditating
(Zen Attitude) or the ascetic by destitution
and immobility (Gymnosophism), tends
to join again with the emotion first, that of the child in front
of the world, the shipwrecked man captive of an island in front
of the immensity of the sea (Esperanza)
or that of the lover petrified by the dazzling beloved woman
(Bonda Bondé).
By the chisel which digs/which fills the vacuum, he seeks to
sharpen its/our blunted directions (alliance of the opposites,
oxymoron of the poets, clearly-obscure of the painters to return/touch
with the "obvious" harmony and the beauty.
Since man, and the world, are, and will always remain, incomplete
and perfectible, this tension, this search like Herve's sculpture,
can't be finished. But, just like the wise man when it launches
an arrow, does not do it to reach the target but to feel the
air and resistance, and to become trajectory, follow this chisel,
this search throught the exhibited. Perhaps they will meet paintings,
poems, glances, friendly hearts.
